Personal Interest Disclosure
Financial Services Board (FSB) Board Notice 80 of 2003 stipulates a General Code of Conduct for Authorised Financial Services Providers and Representatives. Section 3(1)(b) of this notice requires certain disclosures of personal interests. In terms hereof, the directors, Mr Hilton A. Davies and Mrs Helen A. Davies hereby make known that they are married in terms of South African statute (since 14 June 1986) and that their financial investments are treated as one. They make the following public disclosures:

Personal interests lie predominantly in JSE Securities Exchange SA
equities. Moneys are also held in bullion, cash and similar. Insofar as
South African exchange control regulation permits, exposure exists to a
fund operated by Orbis Investment Management (Bermuda). [Whilst an
executive of Allan Gray Limited, Mr Davies was, for a period, an
official institutional representative for Orbis in South Africa]. Mr and
Mrs Davies hold a small number of units in Allan Gray Unit Trust equity
and balanced funds. [These units were presented as gifts to Mr Davies
and Mrs Davies by Allan Gray Limited during Mr Davies’ tenure as
founding executive director of Allan Gray Unit Trust Management
Limited.]
